Candidates share family photos in Christmas messages

Candidates share family photos in Christmas messages

Presidential candidates are looking to personalize their Christmas wishes to supporters, sharing family photos in their well-wishes on Twitter.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton tweeted a photo of herself and husband Bill Clinton in front of the 1995 White House Christmas tree — a not-so-subtle reference to Bill’s presidency.

Among Republican candidates, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich shared photos with their wives and children. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) posed with his wife.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie sent a series of Christmas well-wishes that did not include images. And former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush tweeted a photo of U.S. troops with his message emblazoned over it.

Democratic candidate and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley also eschewed a photo in his Christmas tweet.
