Hillary Clinton doesn’t like that Constitution thing

This will not impart any new information. It is only important to reiterate it because we are in an election year and anti-Second Amendment extremists, like Hillary Clinton, will soon be out in the hustings trying to convince rubes that she supports gun ownership, only with smart regulations.

Let’s review the bidding.

Last year she had this to say:

“I think again we’re way out of balance. I think that we’ve got to rein in what has become an almost article of faith that anybody can have a gun anywhere, anytime,” Clinton said. “And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people. And I think you can say that and still support the right of people to own guns.”

Note the chrysalis of the “smart regulation” argument there at the end.

Also, she compared people who believe in the Second Amendment to terrorists:

“I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation, we cannot let a minority of people — and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people — hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people,” Clinton said during a CNN town hall.

She is still at it. This time she is taking aim at the Supreme Court and presumably the Heller decision and the destruction that decision has wrought upon the morass of gun control laws inflicted by Democrats upon a compliant citizenry across the nation.

Hillary Clinton slammed the Supreme Court as “wrong on the Second Amendment” and called for reinstating the assault weapons ban during a small private fundraiser in New York last week, according to audio of her remarks obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

While Clinton has previously supported an assault weapons ban, this is the first time since launching her campaign that she indicated that she would take on the Supreme Court over gun issues.

“I was proud when my husband took [the National Rifle Association] on, and we were able to ban assault weapons, but he had to put a sunset on so 10 years later. Of course [President George W.] Bush wouldn’t agree to reinstate them,” said Clinton.

“We’ve got to go after this,” Clinton continued. “And here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”

If you want to listen to the elderly harpy, the Free Beacon has an audio clip.

This shows she has the same mindset as the current socialist in the White House. She has no respect for law or the courts beyond how they can be used as a coercive instrument against her opponents. Our national institutions were designed to be managed by honorable men. The seven long years under Obama have shown that even though our institutions are two centuries old they cannot resist sustained attacks by the executive branch.

Never, ever lose sight of the fact that even though Clinton seems to be a doddering old coot she is actually the same stripe of vicious and unprincipled socialist as Obama.
