Here Are 9 Of The Most Unhinged Reactions To Trump’s Executive Order On
The Federalist - Monday January 30, 2017
by Bre Payton
After President Trump signed an executive orderon Friday temporarily halting immigration from seven Middle Eastern countries, people lost their minds. Here are some of the most insane reactions thus far.
1. The Death Wish
India Knight, a writer for the U.K.’s Sunday Times, implied she wished President Trump would be assassinated soon.
2. Another Awkward Politicization of an Award Show
The actor who emceed the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards took a pot shot at the immigration executive order on Sunday.
Because Hollywood’s incessant virtue signaling has worked out so well for them thus far!
3. The Corporate Witch Hunt
After Lyft announced it would donate $1 million to the American Civil Liberties Union to help their fight against Trump’s executive order, many Twitter users responded by saying they would delete their Uber app. BuzzFeed’s John Packowzki took the outrage to the next level by drafting a list of which companies didn’t speak out against the so-called “Muslim ban.”
This isn’t the first time BuzzFeed has gone after public figures who didn’t vehemently agree with them on a given political issue. In December, the publication went after Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s “Fixer Upper” after it was discovered the couple attended a church that taught orthodox Christian beliefs about human sexuality.
Other reporters got in on the insanity, too.
The singer lost it on Twitter on Saturday.
5. Emmy Rossum
She either doesn’t know or is ignoring the fact that intelligence reports have said ISIS terrorists hid among the refugees traveling to regions of Europe that have been plagued by terror attacks and violence inflicted by those who sought asylum.
6. Whatever This Is
New York Gov. Anthony Cuomo tweeted out a video in which he literally calls himself a Muslim, Jew, a black person , a gay man, and a pregnant woman.
7. The Blaming-Everything-Bad-Ever-On-Trump Approach
Several immigrants were detained at airports for hours due to confusion surrounding Trump’s executive order. Thousands of protestors flooded airports nationwide, including these protestors at JFK airport in New York, who carried with them a massive banner that read: “NO BORDERS!”
Boston’s mayor got in on the action, too.
Here are some protestors at LAX.
9. The New York Times
The nation’s newspaper of record had a total meltdown to the point where they didn’t even pretend to act like a real news outlet that does objective reporting. Instead they published a scathing, one-sided report.
In response to the above tweet, The Washington Post‘s Dave Weigel acted like objective reporting on a policy was hiiiiiilarious.
