Mark Levin: Firewalls to the Constitution Have Been Breached
on Sat, 17 Aug 2013
Conservative talk radio host and scholar Mark Levin said he wrote his new book, The Liberty Amendments, because he believes the "entire construct of the Constitution" is intended to prevent what is happening in the country today with all three branches of government.
"The firewalls to the Constitution have been breached," Levin said of today's current state of affairs on Fox News's Hannity's one-hour special on his new book of Friday.
Levin, whose book has rocketed to the top spot on Amazon despite being ignored again by the mainstream press, mentioned Obamacare, which he said Congress passed even though it did not have the power to pass and President Barack Obama signed even though he had no power to sign it.
He said the politicians who support Obamacare are essentially saying, "That's it folks. You can't defund it. You're stuck with it. There's nothing you can do about it."
"I"m saying to hell with that, there are things we can do about it," Levin said of his book.
Levin often mentioned how Obama rules via executive fiat and that judicial review today is simply judicial activism. He blasted legislators for finding one way after another to erode the liberty of Americans, and repeatedly cited Obamacare as an example.
"The more our government legislates and operates like this, the worse it is going to get," he declared.
Levin also discussed his book with a group of panelists that included Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon and Editor-in-Chief Joel Pollak.
