Robichaud: Hillary’s views on voter fraud simply delusional | Boston Herald

Did you know that unless you agree with everything Hillary Clinton says, you are either a racist or a member of the right-wing conspiracy?

In preparation for her 2016 presidential bid, Clinton called voter fraud a “phantom epidemic” and said “anyone that says that racial discrimination is no longer a problem in American elections must not be paying attention.” Why such hardball language from the former secretary of state who completely dropped the ball on Benghazi?

It is part of Hillary’s win-at-all costs strategy. Proclaiming efforts to restore voter integrity as racist is nothing more than pandering to a segment of Democrat primary voters. It’s blatant patronizing to African-Americans by trying to create a race issue where none exists. Showing identification to vote and ending same-day registration will stop the disenfranchising of voters. The fact of the matter is that the African-American vote has been increasing and there is no evidence supporting her claims that it depresses voter turnout.

Using Hillary’s logic on requiring ID makes the TSA nothing more than a bunch of racists employed by the federal government. They require identification to get on an airplane. If it is a hardship to show ID to vote, then it must be a hardship for flying. Are her liberal friends at Harvard racists, too? In order to get into Federal Street Harvard Club building you have to show ID. How about banks? They require ID to cash a check. Car rental companies should be ashamed. They demand a valid license.Contrary to her phony claims, voter fraud does exist.

Just a few months ago former state Rep. Stephen “Stat” Smith (D-Everett) pleaded guilty to voting multiple times and was sentenced to four months in jail. Remember ACORN? They were involved with submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration forms in Nevada and Philadelphia. In Washington, state prosecutors fined ACORN $25,000 after convicting several employees for voter fraud. The group became so toxic, they disbanded and reorganized under different names.Hillary’s inflammatory remarks also included a desire to encourage more people on welfare to register. Which ones?

Does she want the 19,000 MIA recipients or the real people? As she would say — What difference would that make? Just because Hillary lost the African-American vote to Obama six years ago doesn’t give her the right to call the rest of us racists for her self-serving purpose.

If she keeps this up, her NBC movie should be called “Despicable Candidate.”
