Adriana Cohen: Sen. Elizabeth Warren gives us liberal amounts of hypocrisy

Lucky us. The Bay State's own Hypocrite-in-Chief, Elizabeth Warren, is running for re-election in 2018, unburdened by the fact she has few accomplishments to show for her first six-year term.

Apart from her cringe-worthy, all-night "pajama party" on the House floor protesting climate change or trying to grab our guns.

Since ousting Scott Brown in 2012, Warren has yet to pass one piece of meaningful legislation. The Consumer Protection Bureau she was lauded for has become a billion-dollar, taxpayer-funded Goliath bureaucracy doing little to justify a raid on our wallets.

But no matter. The facts didn't stop Warren from blasting this missive to her supporters yesterday:

"Nobody expected 2017 to start this way. This isn't the fight we were expecting to fight. But this is the fight that's in front of us. And the people of Massachusetts didn't send me to Washington to roll over and play dead while Donald Trump and his team of billionaires, bigots, and Wall Street bankers crush the working people of our Commonwealth and this country."

Crush the working people of this country? That's exactly what has happened under President Obama's failed liberal agenda over the past eight years. In case Warren hasn't noticed, that's what helped Donald Trump get the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

It's also ironic how Warren lashes out against Wall Street when they're supporting Republicans, but when the big banks and hedge fund billionaires like George Soros and Tom Steyer donate mega-millions to Democrats, she goes silent.

Look no further than the presidential election. Warren engaged in Twitter tirades against Trump and millionaires and billionaires "buying" elections. But of course, she didn't hesitate to endorse and campaign for Hillary Clinton, who accepted more than $64.3 million from Wall Street this past election, according to Politfact.

But that's not all. Last February, the Wall Street Journal reported that since Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, entered national politics in the early 1990s, Wall Street has contributed more than $100 million to their political campaigns, charitable foundation and personal finances.

Naturally, if you're a liberal hypocrite in America today, the rules don't apply to you or your party.

Warren says she'll make it her mission to derail Trump and the GOP Congress' agenda. That sounds pretty hypocritical given that Democrats howled at the GOP for being obstructionists to President Obama's agenda.

But that's how Massachusetts liberals roll.
