Trump’s Interior Secretary Threatened Alaska Senators Over Obamacare Vote

Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke reportedly threatened both Alaskan senators after Sen. Lisa Murkowski voted against a motion to begin debating health care reform Tuesday.

Zinkecalledboth Murkowski and Sen. Dan SullivanWednesday afternoonto express President Donald Trump’s disappointment and to tell the senators that Murkowski’s vote will hurt Alaska going forward with the administration.

Trump lashed out against Murkowski on TwitterWednesday afternoon.

The message from the administration to Murkowski and Sullivan is important not only for Alaskans, but for congressmen and women who choose to take a stand against the administration’s initiatives.
