You’ve got to be kidding me, Duke. You guys created a special safe space for men to rid them of male privilege and their so-called toxic masculinity. Oh, what I would give to be a fly on the wall to hear these testimonials from progressive fantasyland. Bradford Richardson at The Washington Times had more:
The Men’s Project, which is sponsored by the Duke Women’s Center, aims to “create a space of brotherhood fellowship dedicated to interrogating male privilege and patriarchy as it exists in our lives, our campus and our society,” according to the university’s website. The initiative’s leadership team consists of four students, including juniors Dipro Bhowmik and Alex Bressler.
Mr. Bhowmik said the project will create an environment in which men can “critique and analyze their own masculinity and toxic masculinities to then create healthier ones.”
The curriculum is about “questioning how you can be accountable to feminism, to the women in your life and to the larger community,” he told the Duke Chronicle, a student newspaper.
Again, this is college. It’s a time to be uncomfortable. And for any conservative, this will certainly be an opportunity to immerse yourself into the progressive cesspool, a hands-on insight into this ethos that’s killing off free speech, sports, comedy, and regular conversation. I hope conservatives at Duke channel their inner-Occupy Wall Street hippie, infiltrate these safe spaces and tweet, blog, and document what is going on in these little group exercises. I’m sure it’s insane.
Sitting around together talking about phantom toxic masculinity and how we can be more “accountable to feminism”…someone pass me the hemlock.
