About that other shoe…
It may be ready to drop. The only question is if it’ll hit so hard it busts a hole through the middle of the current polling.
As reported from the Washington Examiner this morning:
The founder of the WikiLeaks confirmed Monday that his group has more material on Hillary Clinton, and that he's looking to "publish it in batches" over the coming weeks.
When asked how damaging the information would be to Clinton, Julian Assange said, "it remains to be seen."
"It is significant material, it takes a lot of work to verify the accuracy," Assange explained. He said WikiLeaks is now in the process of trying to understand the material, and how to release it for "maximum exposure."
The WikiLeaks dump of material over the last couple of weeks proved quite powerful, as it shook the Democrat power structure, forcing the resignation of DNC chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. It also caused near-revolt on the convention floor, as well as outside of the convention center in Philadelphia, as Bernie Sanders supporters reacted to the news that the DNC was actively collaborating to defeat Sanders.
There have been murmurings that the hacks that led to the leaks were a result of Russian hackers, attempting to control the direction of a U.S. election.
"We brought down the head of the DNC," Assange said when asked if his group was being used by Russia to manipulate the election. "We have authentic information. The goal of WikiLeaks … is to educate the public. To turn a dark world into a lighter world."
Noble goal or dangerous goal? I suppose that depends on which side of the political aisle you fall.
