Poll: Sanders within 3 of Clinton nationally

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has nearly caught up with rival Hillary Clinton, according to a Reuters/Ipsos national poll released Friday afternoon.

Clinton leads by just 3 points, well within the poll's margin of error. The former secretary of State gets 48 percent support compared to Sanders's 45 percent.

The findings mirror the results of Monday's Iowa Democratic caucus, which Clinton won by less than one percentage point.

Sanders still has a comfortable lead in New Hampshire, just four days away from the state's primary.

The poll was conducted from Feb. 2 to 5, shortly after the Iowa caucuses. It surveyed 512 people and has a margin of error of 5 percent.
