Great moments in women's rights activism: Hillary supporter Madeleine Albright informs ladies how to avoid hell

**Written by Doug Powers

At a Hillary Clinton rally in New Hampshire, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright demonstrated what the left-wing idea of "women's rights" is all about: Fall in absolute lock-step with your progressive betters or suffer eternal damnation:

At a rally before a few hundred people on Saturday, former secretary of state Madeleine Albright suggested that women who vote for Bernie Sanders are buying a one-way ticket to “a special place in Hell."

[...]

"We tell our story about how we climbed the ladder, and a lot of you younger women don't think you have to—it's been done. It's not done," Albright continued. "And you have to help Hillary Clinton—[she] will always be there for you. And just remember, there's a special place in Hell for women who don't help each other."

Get the t-shirts printed: "Go to Hill or go to hell!"

Hell hath no fury like a Hillary-supporting feminist scorned:

Not to be outdone, super-feminist Gloria Steinhem thinks she knows why younger women are falling Bernie's way:

Gloria Steinem, one of the most famous spokeswomen of the feminist movement, took the sentiment a step further on Friday in an interview with the talk show host Bill Maher. Explaining how women tend to become more active in politics as they become older, she suggested younger women were just backing Mr. Sanders so that they could meet young men.

“When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys? The boys are with Bernie,’” Ms. Steinem said.

Realizing that this was potentially offensive, Mr. Maher recoiled. “Oh. Now if I said that, ‘They’re for Bernie because that’s where the boys are,’ you’d swat me.”

But Ms. Steinem laughed it off, replying, “How well do you know me?”

Combining Albright and Steinem's comments gives us this composite warning: Women, is finding a socialist guy to date really worth a trip to hell (which is the only place "free college" exists, by the way)?

Let's also consider this our Sunday open thread. Oh, and get your Super Bowl picks in while you can. I'll go Carolina 27, Denver 21. (Update: Denver 24, Carolina 10 -- I knew Denver had a great defense but didn't think they'd completely snuff out the Carolina offense like they did).
