Has anyone heard of Temporary Protective Status? Here is an explanation from the DHS website:
"The Secretary of Homeland Security may designate a foreign country for TPS due to conditions in the country that temporarily prevent the country's nationals from returning safely, or in certain circumstances, where the country is unable to handle the return of its nationals adequately. USCIS may grant TPS to eligible nationals of certain countries (or parts of countries), who are already in the United States."
NPR's " All Things Considered" had a story about TPC on today's program. Apparently there are immigrants from El Salvador who have been in the Us for over 15 years. The guy interviewed for the story has been here since 1999 and still can't spark English.
We are the biggest Patsy's in the world and are being played for fools. Write your Congressman and Senators and tell them not to fund or reauthorize this sham program!
