UPDATE: Police have classified the beheading as workplace violence. However, the FBI is reportedly investigating.

Sky News reports that a woman at an Oklahoma food-processing plant was beheaded by a co-worker who had "recently started trying to convert colleagues to Islam."

The attack occurred Thursday in Moore, Oklahoma. Alton Nolen, the 30 year-old suspect, was shot and stopped by the company's Chief Operating Officer, a reserve deputy who happened to be armed.

The victim was 54-year-old Colleen Hufford.

A police spokesman told Sky News that the employee who shot the attacker was a "hero." Nolen "was definitely not going to stop."

Apparently Nolen was attacking a second victim when he was stopped by the armed employee. Nolen and the second victim, Traci Johnson, are expected to live.

KOCO reports that the suspect was being fired from his job at the plant when the attack occurred, and that Nolen "was in the process of converting to the Muslim religion."
