While Obama was in Alaska staring down glaciers to stave off climate change, this was going on nearby

President Obama is in Alaska this week single-handedly scare-mongering to promote more green sham spendingfighting climate change by pointing out how frozen stuff melts more in the summertime (thanks a lot, Big Coal), and the Associated Press showed off their NK State Media-quality cops:

While the media was admiring Dear Leader showing the Alaskan wilderness who's really in charge, not far away this was going on:

Five Chinese navy ships are currently operating in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska, Pentagon officials said Wednesday, marking the first time the U.S. military has seen them in the area.

The officials have been tracking the movements in recent days of three Chinese combat ships, a replenishment vessel and an amphibious landing ship after observing them moving toward the Aleutian Islands, which are split between U.S. and Russian control.

“This would be a first in the vicinity of the Aleutian Islands,” one defense official said of the Chinese ships, which have been operating in international waters. “I don’t think we’d characterize anything they’re doing as threatening,” the official said.

There's no doubt this administration wouldn't consider that threatening. A nuke-seeking Ayatollah leading chants of "death to America" is considered a "deal partner," so what's a few Chinese navy ships off Alaska between friends?

Maybe China was just trying to get close enough to point and laugh at the person who is going all-out to make America believe "climate change" is the nation's greatest security threat.
