ICYMI: Someone Fired Several Shots At This Indiana Driver Who Had A 'Make America Great Again' Flag

Matt Vespa

What is going on, folks? It’s rather disturbing. We have House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) in critical condition after being shot in Alexandria, Virginia by James Hodgkinson. Rep. Scalise was practicing with the rest of the GOP baseball team on the eve of the annual charity baseball game. Congressional staffers and members of the Capitol Police were also wounded. Blessedly, no one was killed, except for the shooter, Hodgkinson. That was Wednesday morning.

In Indiana, a man in a truck with a “make America great again” flag was fired upon several times by a motorist on Tuesday. No one was hurt (via Fox 59):

Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a “Make America Great Again” flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday.

Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.

The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.

The perpetrator is still at large. Was this truck shooting politically motivated? We don’t know, but it certainly added to an unsettling week in politics.
