In 2008, when Obama's then-Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said: "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste," he was setting in motion a liberal strategy. Just 24 hours after the horrific shooting tragedy in Connecticut, The Huffington Post is putting that strategy into play - hyping gun control in 23 separate headlines on its front page. Rana Florida, CEO of the Creative Class Group, summed up the arguments nicely in a piece headlined: "Shame on Us, America: Take a Stand and #BanGuns Now."
"Gun control" was everywhere on Huffington Post. "Americans Plead For Gun Control Action Outside White House" went one headline. "Gun Control Reform Is Long Overdue" argued another. "Why Dems Should Pursue Gun Control" claimed a third.
The liberal propaganda site brought out every anti-gun voice they could think of - Aurora victims, former Rep. Gabby Giffords and more. Senior entertainment writer Mike Ryan even urged "SNL Should Address Gun Control This Saturday Night," unsurprisingly since "Saturday Night Live" provides a regular voice for the American left.
The rest of the front page was either filled with other stories about the awful shooting or pushing standard liberal talking points that bash conservatives, promote far-left ideas or provide link bait like "10 Hot Sex Tips" and "Why Women Orgasm."
