On Tuesday Kentuckians will reelect Steve Beshear, a mediocre governor at best! Why? Because once again Kentucky Republicans let Mitch McConnell hand pick their candidate.
David Williams is so disliked by his fellow Republicans that he could not even garner 50% against a total unknown primary opponent. You can not be an arrogant and negative bully for 12 years as Senate President and expect the electorate to embrace you.
The saddest thing is that Williams' lack of support may also bring down the under ticket candidates as well.Jamie Comer, John Kemper, KC Crosby,Bill Johnson and Todd P'Pool are bright, energetic and talented candidates who deserve serious consideration and election! At a minimum, our Commonwealth needs an independent Treasurer, Auditor and Attorney General to keep Beshear and his Democrat cronies in check. Kentucky also needs an Ag Commissioner who has actually been a farmer and not a comedian who makes fun of hard working people in Eastern Kentucky.
Let's hope that Kentucky Republicans learn from this debacle and tell Mitch that, in the future, we will select our own candidates without having them stuffed down our throats!
