Anti-Trump activists allegedly vandalized a tribute to President Donald Trump earlyFriday morning, when they ripped up over 200 American flags, tore the arms off a model of the Statue of Liberty, and covered the tribute to the president in sexually suggestive language and swastikas.
The “Trump Unity Bridge,” a massive float dedicated to Trump, was hit by the unidentified perpetratorsbetween 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Friday morningat a Quality Inn motel in Alexandria, Va.
Rob Cortis, a 55-year-old Michigan man and founder of the Trump Unity Bridge brought the float into town for Saturday’s “Mother of all Rallies,” a pro-Trump event scheduled to take place along the National Mall.

“The arms of the Statue of Liberty were missing, the torch was gone, they tipped over a big American eagle statue,” Cortis told TheDCNF. “The wires were cut, tires slashed, the on-board surveillance cameras were stolen.” He said that over $500 in made-in-America American flags were stolen. “Luckily, I carry twenty extra flags with me.”
Cortis highlighted the fact that law enforcement was very helpful. He said that Patriot Harley Davidson in Fairfax, Va., helped out tremendously by sending someone over to check things out and donated supplies. Members of “Bikers for Trump” also responded to the scene after Cortis put out a message over social media.
“We started last September, and we have travelled over 45,000 miles,” Cortis said. “This isn’t gonna stop us, we’re gonna do the Mother of all Rallies, you better believe it.”
“They drew male genitals, swastikas, and even ripped up ‘Buy American, Hire American’ signs.” Cortis said. “They wrote ‘I like killing brown people’ on the car.”
He said that it would just be additional motivation. “It motivates me to want to educate more people,” he said, adding that Trump’s message is centered around “Unity.”
Cortis said of the vandals, “I think they need to grow up and they need to be educated,” he said. “None of their stuff adds up. They don’t have message, they just yell and scream. They just shoot diarrhea out of there.”
Cortis israising moneyto repair his tribute to the president, encouraging the public to visit his website to support his travels.
