Putin Didn’t Care Who Won Our Election

Putin Didn’t Care Who Won Our Election

RUSH: Here is Brent in Standish, Michigan. Great that you called. How you doing, sir?

CALLER: Hey! How are you doing, Rush?

RUSH: Very well.

CALLER: Greetings from Hillsdale dad —

RUSH: Ah.

CALLER: — a Reagan Republican, an Ayn Rand reader, and Rush Limbaugh fan.

RUSH: Thank you very much. You’ve got it all covered there.

CALLER: Well (chuckles), I’ve been a listener for a long time.

RUSH: Fine.

CALLER: I enjoy talking to you.

RUSH: What’s up?

CALLER: Well, it occurs to me that if I were Putin, I would want to put the presidential election on the front burner, making it sound like it’s really important to him, thereby taking his attention off the Ukraine and Syria and other issues that he’s got around the world. I think that the media’s bitten into this hook, line, and sinker. What do you think?

RUSH: The Putin angle in this is a fascinating thing. I think it’s absolutely absurd and it’s sophomoric to think that Putin would want a certain candidate to win. It isn’t… Putin is going to be considering the United States his number one enemy no matter who our president is — and no matter who’s elected, that isn’t going to change. I think Putin is loving the media saying he’s got all this power, ’cause they’re a Third World country outside of their military. He’s gotta be eating it up.
