Police are investigating a "potential act of terrorism" in London, after a van reportedly ran into several pedestrians on the bridge in the U.K.'s capital Saturday.
Prime Minister Theresa May released a statement saying the incident was being investigated as a "potential act of terrorism" shortly before 8 p.m. E.T.
Police reported three separate incidents being looked into: one at the London Bridge, another at Borough Market and another in Vauxhall.
Police later said the incident at Vauxhall was a stabbing being investigated as a separate incident and was not connected to the others.
Details of the incident at Borough Market were not immediately made known.

Witnesses have confirmed to the BBC, The Associated Press and Reuters that armed officers are at the two locations.
A BBC reporter said a van appeared to be traveling at 50 miles per hour, when it drove up on the pavement, hitting several pedestrians. The reporter said five people are being treated for injuries.
British Transport Police told the Associated Press that they have received reports of multiple casualties in the London Bridge incident.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer tweeted at 6:30 p.m. that President Trump was being briefed on the incident.

The Guardian's picture editor is believed to have found a photo of the van from the incident.
