Now let us praise the most damaging hoax of our generation: The 'hands ups, don't shoot' fairy tale surrounding the shooting death of St. Michael Brown of Ferguson -- which is about to be glorified at the Democrat convention tonight.
Not for the first time: Shortly after the shooting, the President of the United States interrupted his speech to the Congressional Black Caucus to point out members of the Brown family in attendance. They were welcomed with thunderous applause.
As were the parents of St. Trayvon of Martin during a SRO appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention soon after his demise.
Your humble correspondent documented on these pages all the lies surrounding Brown's shooting within a few days of his death on August 9, 2014. It took the Washington Post 16 months to reach the same conclusion: "Hands up, don't shoot did not happen in Ferguson," intoned the headlines.
But not before police were shot, citizens hurt, and property damaged. All while the Democrat governor gave the looters plenty of room to destroy. All while obliging national reporters insisted the riots were, in turn, "largely peaceful", and then justified.
Curiously, Post reporters still refer to the events of Ferguson as if they really happened. Which is exactly the treatment the Democrats are giving the sainted Michael Brown at their convention: His mother has been invited to tell her story of denial, deceit, and delusion Tuesday night.
Turns out Philadelphia is a perfect placefor a 'hands up, don't shoot' protest. Though not the kind the Hillary Clinton likes to tell during her stump speech.
This story happened to an old white dude walking his dog through the kind of place where a few brave white souls have convinced themselves it is perfectly safe for white people to live in black neighborhoods.
Because everyone knows all the shootings are black on black, mostly involving disputes over drug-selling territory, right?
Another fairy tale bites the dust, a bit late for James Stuhlman, the 51-year-old now-dead white dude.
Last spring, Stuhlman was taking his dog out for its nightly walk. Usually accompanied by his teenage daughter, that night she stayed home.
Soon Stuhlman met up with a group of black people fresh from playing some basketball at a nearby playground. They robbed him, shot him, and killed him.
The chief of police and the NBC affiliate described all we need to know: "'Please Don't Shoot Me': Dog Walker Begs for Life Before Deadly Shooting."
His hands were up.
And it really happened. No word whether his family will be speechifying at the convention.
Another happy coincidence tied to the shootings and the sanctification of Micheal Brown's mom is the presence of Temple University.
Temple is not just located in the middle of one of the most dangerous black neighborhoods in America, this Philadelphia school is also a center for black scholars who explain it all to us: How black people are relentless victims of relentless white racism, all the time, everywhere, that explains everything.
Including why cops are always picking on black people for no reason what so ever.
They call it Critical Race Theory. And students at Temple were as active as any around the country in speaking out about the Great Injustice of Ferguson, which we now know is the Great Lie of Black Lives Matter.
The professors are in front of the cameras at all the rallies, but none of the murders.
But that does not matter now. Not to them. Not to the people reporting the lies. Or the presidential campaign spreading them around.
