'Mr. Climate' John Kerry breaks State Dept. record for crop dusting planet with jet exhaust

**Written by Doug Powers

John Kerry is super serious about slashing fossil fuel emissions, and he leads by example:

John Kerry is now the most traveled secretary of state in U.S. history, breaking the record as he arrived in the Middle East kingdom of Bahrain on Wednesday.

The trip pushed Kerry past 1.06 million miles as America's top diplomat, narrowly beating Condoleezza Rice by about 1,000 miles. Rice, who was secretary of state under President George W. Bush, held the previous mark with 1.059 million miles.

Kerry eclipsed Hillary Clinton's mileage tally in December.

With 10 months left before a new president takes office, Kerry is showing no signs of tempering his hectic travel schedule. He flew to the Mideast on Tuesday from New York after attending an energy conference, stopping in Ireland to refuel. He plans to visit Japan later in the week.

They don't call him "Mr. Climate" for nothing!

Here's just one reminder from last year about the personal inconveniences Kerry's willing to endure in order to be a steward to the environment:

A US military C-17 transport aircraft that usually carries at least 100 troops flew to Geneva Airport to pick up Secretary of State John Kerry and flew him to Boston where he'll be treated for a broken leg.

The Air Force plane touched down in Switzerland on Monday after taking off from a US base in Ramstein, Germany, and then headed to Massachusetts after collecting the 71-year-old politician.

If Kerry keeps his current pace in traveling the world to warn everybody about the dangers of man-made climate change due to the burning of fossil fuels, he'll also set the record for "fastest self-fulfilling prophecy" of all time.

Bonus anti-AGW heroism:

Kerry will no doubt be proud of the New York Power Authority's sacrifice in the name of combating man-made climate change:

"Reusable dishes"? At my house we call those "plates" and have had the same ones for a long time. I guess my family can refer to ourselves as a "Green Team" now.
