Hillary's explanation why Wall Street banks paid her all that money is as Clinton as it gets

**Written by Doug Powers

On Meet the Press this morning, Hillary said that Wall Street banks paid her hundreds of thousands of dollars just because they apparently wanted to hear firsthand stories about she took on Wall Street banks:

CHUCK TODD: You don't think they expect anything in return?

HILLARY CLINTON: Absolutely not. You know, first of all, I was a senator from New York. I took them on when I was senator. I took on the carried interest loophole. I took on what was happening in the mortgage markets. I was talking about that in 2006. They know exactly where I stand.

In this kind of human nature alternate reality, the Clintons should be paying Ken Starr a couple hundred grand to tell CGI employees how he took on the White House in the late 1990s. Update: Wall Streeters also paid Hillary all that money to hear about the Bin Laden raid (they also wanted to hear about Benghazi but of course she doesn't remember anything about it).

On Friday in Iowa, Hillary was asked if she'd be willing to release transcripts of her Goldman Sachs speeches. This says it all:

Hillary had better hope the FBI considers a cackle to be an adequate response to their questions. Here's the latest:

The FBI is investigating whether members of Hillary Clinton’s inner circle “cut and pasted” material from the government’s classified network so that it could be sent to her private e-mail address, former State Department security officials say.

Clinton and her top aides had access to a Pentagon-run classified network that goes up to the Secret level, as well as a separate system used for Top Secret communications.

The two systems — the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) — are not connected to the unclassified system, known as the Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet). You cannot e-mail from one system to the other, though you can use NIPRNet to send e-mails outside the government.

Somehow, highly classified information from SIPRNet, as well as even the super-secure JWICS, jumped from those closed systems to the open system and turned up in at least 1,340 of Clinton’s home e-mails — including several the CIA earlier this month flagged as containing ultra-secret Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs, a subset of SCI.

SAP includes “dark projects,” such as drone operations, while SCI protects intelligence sources and methods.

You or I would be in an orange jumpsuit by now, which makes this even more pitiful by the day:

As for Hillary's opponent, if Bernie ends up defeating Hillary, it'll be his tremendous sense of humor that'll put him over the top:

Rumor has it that if Bernie's elected his first budget proposal will contain $5 trillion to literally put pie in the sky. But in a way he's correct -- anybody paying attention knows his ideas do not end up creating a placethat remotely resembles utopia.

Let's also consider this our usual Sunday open thread (place your NFL Conference Championship game bets). Have a great day all!
