Your tax dollars at work: Planned Parenthood announces $20 million effort to defeat Republicans

**Written by Doug Powers

If you're a Republican, Planned Parenthood is launching an all-out effort to thank you for your involuntary contributions to their cause by spending big time to cancel you out (and then some) at the ballot box

Planned Parenthood is planning to spend at least $20 million fighting Republicans at the ballot box next year as the group punches back against GOP efforts to end its federal funding.

Democrats target Republican Senate candidates over Planned Parenthood

"Extremists made the 2016 election about attacking reproductive rights," Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, who was grilled extensively on Capitol Hill in September, said in a video announcing the effort Tuesday.

The group is planning to focus on the White House and Senate races in a few key states, including New Hampshire, Ohio, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The states not only have potentially competitive Senate races, but are also key swing states on the presidential map.

The $20 million will be spent on a mix of volunteer and activist organizing in each state and advertising.

That's just the latest argument for cutting off Planned Parenthood's public funding -- if they want to help Democrats let 'em skip a couple of Lamborghini payments and do it on their own dime. PP should instead be considered a Dem Super-PAC that performs abortions and dabbles in the baby parts market while supporting Democrats who accuse Republicans of hating children.

After Cecile Richards' $20 million announcement, Planned Parenthood will probably get another shout-out like this:
