In Wake Of Oregon Shooting, Hillary Makes Terrifying Vow Every American NEEDS To See
Hillary Clinton has set her sights on America’s guns.
“I am going to get those guns out of people’s hands,” the Democratic presidential candidate said Monday as she responded to last week’s Oregon college shooting with a bevy of proposals.
Clinton said she will pursue her agenda with or without legislative support.
“I want to work with Congress, but I will look at ways as president,” Clinton said Monday.
The New York Times reported that Clinton wants to wield administrative powers to classify anyone selling a substantial number of guns “in the business” of firearms dealing. That change would require many private sellers to become responsible for conducting background checks, keeping records of sales, and making records available to police upon request.
Clinton’s proposals include expanded background checks for firearms sales online and at gun shows. She also wants to no longer allow gun sales to be completed if the buyer’s background check is not finished within three days.
Gun manufacturers, distributors and dealers are also in the cross-hairs of Clinton’s proposals. Her campaign said Monday that Clinton wants to repeal legislation shielding gun makers, distributors and dealers from most liability suits.
“What is wrong with us, that we cannot stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby, and the gun manufacturers they represent?” Clinton had said on Friday.
Clinton’s proposals are in contrast to Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., who in the past voted against the Brady Bill, legislation signed by President Bill Clinton that instituted federal background checks.
