Israel Election Results – Netanyahu Wins, Obama Loses
on Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Benjamin Netanyahu won a landslide victory according to the Israel election results, securing a 4th term as Israeli Prime Minister. While many polls showed him in trouble and some exit polls saying the race was too close to call, Netanyahu′s Likud Party won 30 of the 120 seats in Israel′s parliament, while the Socialist candidate, Isaac Herzog of the Zionist Union Party won only 24 seats. Despite efforts by Barack Obama to oust Netanyahu, including the possible use of U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund an anti-Netanyahu group, the Israeli voters have spoken.
The U.S. Senate is expected to investigate the possible interference in the Israeli elections by the Obama administration. This stems from a $350,000 grant by the State Department to a group called OneVoice, which is dedicated to a two-state solution between Israel and the so-called Palestinian people. OneVoice founded a separate organization, called Victory2015, which actively campaigned against Netanyahu. Victory2015 had as an adviser Jeremy Berg, a former Obama campaign adviser.
The Obama White House even got their allies in the Liberal Media to attack Netanyahu. A steady drumbeat of doom was sounded by nearly every TV and cable news network, except, of course, Fox News. Even last night as election results were coming in, the networks bemoaned Netanyahu′s landslide victory. There is no love between Obama and Netanyahu, namely due to the fact that unlike Obama, Netanyahu actually loves his country and wants it kept safe from enemies, such as the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama, on the other hand, has six members of the Muslim Brotherhood in his government, including a top White House adviser and five high-ranking officials in the Department of Homeland Security.
So this is a great day for supporters of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who breezed through an easy victory according to the Israel election results. Barack Obama was the big loser last night, as his candidate, the Socialist Isaac Herzog of the Zionist Union got clobbered by the Likud Party. While the economy was an issue for many voters, the nation′s security, indeed, its very survival, proved to be the winning path.
