Arizona Congressman: Time For A Boehner Replacement Vote
on Mon, 9 Jun 2014
Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) believes that it’s time for a vote to challenge House Speaker John Boehner’s leadership in Congress.
But are there enough votes to challenge his leadership?
“I don’t know, but you know what? I’m willing to call a vote,” Gosar said to the Mohave Daily News, when asked about a vote to replace Boehner as Speaker.
Gosar explained that it was time for a change in leadership in the House.
“I like John Boehner for the person he is but I don’t know if he’s the right person for the right time and right for the job at this point in time," he said.
In April, Gosar also previewed a run against Boehner, but said that he did not want to run for leadership.
Gosar was first elected in 2010 as part of the Tea Party wave of candidates leading to Republicans taking the House of Representatives.
