Obama Insists Gov't Key to Private Sector Success

Last week, President Barack Obama continued to emphasize his belief that government is the key to America's private sector success.

Speaking at Ford factory in Liberty, MO last Friday, Obama said that "even though our success as a country is ultimately going to depend on great businesses like Ford, hard workers like you, government has to do some things."

According to the Washington Examiner, Obama also emphasized that his bailout of the auto industry and government's investment in research with "scientists doing work on the government's dime" were examples of government's importance in the success of American businesses.

"If GM and Chrysler had gone down, suppliers would go down; dealers would have gone down. And all of that would have had a profound impact on Ford," Obama said.
