Poll: Dems Like Christie More than Republicans Do
on Tue, 18 Jun 2013
A Gallup poll released Tuesday revealed that Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) is actually more popular among Democrats than Republicans. He scores a favorable/unfavorable rating of 53 percent to 25 percent among Republicans; he scores a 57 percent to 17 percent split among Democrats.
Highest on the list among Republicans is Paul Ryan, who clocks in at 69 percent to 12 percent, followed by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) (58 percent to 11 percent), Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) (56 percent to 13 percent), and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) (40 percent to 8 percent). Unsurprisingly, all the other candidates on the list score particularly low with Democrats; the closest to even is Sen. Rubio (21 percent favorable to 34 percent unfavorable). All five candidates are in positive favorability position with the public at large.
