Beshear contradicts ObamaCare on health tax

Governor Steve Beshear claims in a court filing this morning that taxes levied in his Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange are not taxes and that mere citizens can't question unconstitutional "official acts" in court.

"Every Kentuckian watching this who is not furious at the Governor's extreme arrogance just isn't paying attention," said David Adams of Nicholasville, the lead plaintiff in a case to force an end to optional state cooperation with implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

"If any governor can write his own laws and tax and spend however he wants to without legislative approval, we should just shut state government down right now and stop pretending to be operating under the rule of law," Adams said.

A hearing on this matter will be held Monday morning 9:00 am May 6 at the Franklin County Courthouse in Frankfort at 669 Chamberlain Avenue.
