Pelosi Calls Obamacare 'A Right' - But, 'Health' Isn't Mentioned Anywhere In The Constitution Or Bill Of Rights | CNSNews.com

Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared Thursday that Obamcare is “a right, not a privilege.” But, the word “health” does not appear anywhere in the text of the Constitution, Bill Of Rights, or any of the amendments.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) said at her Thursday press briefing that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act—AKA Obamacare—is not a privilege but “a right” - like Social Security and Medicare.

“Here's the thing: the American Affordable Care Act stands there with Social Security, Medicare, health care for all Americans as a right, not a privilege," said Pelosi.

Thing is, there is not a single reference to “health” anywhere in either the Constitution, the Bill Of Rights (the first 10 amendments), or any other amendment.

That's right: not even a glancing reference to the mere concept of "health" or any other use of the word (as in, "the health of our economy").

So, what makes “health care for all Americans” a right?

And, if it is “a right” – like Social Security – does that mean the government has the “right” to intrude in citizens’ spending decisions (the purchase mandate), persecute religions (the free contraception/abortifacient mandate), and run Ponzi schemes (Social Security)?
